Congratulations to Mark Fountain and Brenda Bruce for the Amicus Poloniae Award

The Amicus Poloniae Award recognizes significant contributions enhancing knowledge of Polish and Polish-American heritage by individuals not belonging to the Polish-American community. It will be presented to Dr. Alvin Mark Fountain II and Brenda Bruce who co-founded the Paderewski Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2014 (paderewski-festival.org). Dr. Fountain, the President of the Festival, is a former administrator with the State of North Carolina and for more than 25 years he taught history at North Carolina State University. In 2008, Dr. Fountain was appointed as an Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland. The Vice-President and Secretary of the Festival, Brenda Bruce is an accomplished pianist, harpsichordist, acclaimed teacher, and accompanist dedicated to the promotion of classical piano performance of the highest quality.

The 31st International Festival of Raleigh

The 31st International Festival of Raleigh will take place at the Raleigh Convention Center starting Friday, October 14th, until Sunday, October 16th, 2016.

This year our Club will be hosting a cultural booth as well as a sidewalk cafe.

As every year the Club is organizing a bonfire picnic - Ognisko.

The Club will provide delicious food and soft drinks.

Polish-American Picnic, Sunday, May 15

The Polish-American Club of the Triangle cordially invites you to our annual Polish-American Picnic.

LAST REMINDER: PAC 2015 Photography Contest

This is the last reminder.

The Contest’s theme is Poland we don’t know. We believe that there are many yet undiscovered aspects of Poland and of being Polish. We are looking for digital photographs that capture unique, original and creative images of anything and everything truly Polish – as defined and revealed by the contesting photographers.  Ideally, your photographs should highlight the diversity of Polish people, their history, culture and customs, whether the images are taken in Poland, the United States or anywhere in the world.

The Club intends to award the following prizes:

Grand Prize          $500 & a commemorative plaque
2nd Prize               $300 & a commemorative plaque
3rd Prize                $100 & a commemorative plaque

Every last Friday of the month we meet at different places around the Triangle to chat, laugh and argue about everything Polish - in Polish, English, or whatever language you speak. The next Polish-American Happy Hour will start at
