Majowka !!! (Constitution Day)

                                                        

       

When:      Saturday, April 30, 2011, 4 to 7 pm

Where:     Majowka at LAKE MONTAGUE, 10301 Penny Road, Cary                    NC.

What:       Majowka, all are invited, bring your families and friends.

Club will provide hamburgers and hotdogs, soft drinks, chips, and other condiments.  Please bring a dish or desert to share.  

Cost:        $8 per family or $5 per person for the PAC members who paid 2011 dues (you will have a chance to sign up there!). $12 per family or $7.00 per person for non-members. Kids 12 and under do not pay.

EXTRA!     Fund rising for PAC Scholarship will be conducted during the event. Please be generous to support one of our outstanding students.

           students of Polish at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke (in both Polish and English)

 a musical interlude, Michael Asmara’s composition based on Szymborska poem “Homecoming”

students of Marzanna Poplawska’s gamelan class, UNC-Chapel Hill Music Department

Intermission/Refreshments

a documentary film on Szymborska titled

“Life Is Bearable at Times”

 (with cameo appearances of Woody Allen, Umberto Ecco and Vaclav Havel.)
